Hello dear SunYogis.

I love this time of year. The signs of the warmer weather to come followed by cooler days is fine by me. Watching the flowers bloom and getting sun on my face.  I hope you are enjoying some sunshine today- a gorgeous sunny & 25 here in Melbourne.

This is our last week of term finishing up weekly classes this Saturday the 20th September.  Then on Sunday 21st  Sept is our next  Awaken & Restore Workshop

I love this time of year!

Getting out in the garden or out on walks is so rejuvenating this time of year. This photo is of a Fuchsia plant in my garden. A great reminder not only of the resilience of nature but to me, of how connecting with nature allows us to tap into that part of our own nature.  I had previously thought I might loose this plant. One side was covered in dead and yellowing leaves and the pot had filled with grass. Then …… I saw this one, solo, beauty in full bloom. I was so happy. I remember my mum always having Fuchsias.  A simple flower gave me a simple shift in my emotional and mental state that day. This is why I love to just wander in my garden. It is nothing too fancy and I’m not exactly a green thumb but I’m grateful for the space we have and I love noticing. Noticing small areas of beauty amongst the otherwise messy garden. Rather than seeing the parts that are in need of more tending according to my judgmental mind.  Whether its in our gardens, or parks, beaches, forests or bushland, nature has a way of reminding us of our own capacity for growth and change. Of our own innate nature. Uplifting our spirits and calming our nervous systems. So many simple moments of awe.

“The beautiful spring came, and when nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also”

by Harriet Ann Jacobs

With spring being a time for renewal and growth, our next Awaken and Restore workshop (this Sunday!) will include practices to enhance our awareness of these capacities with in our own self. Planting seeds of intention. Welcoming more light and sunshine, and embracing change.

There are still spaces available so let me know if you’d like to book in. A beautiful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Our time will include gentle & restorative yoga, meditation and sound and some Yoga Nidra. Our last workshop was full and such a rejuvenating and uplifting experience. Maybe invite a friend to join you? No experience needed.  This is most likely the last one for the year.

If you are interested in joining any of my upcoming workshops, please check in to the Awaken & Restore page under Events and Workshops on the website. New dates will be added very soon.

Term 4 will be a 10 week term.  Commencing Tuesday October 7 through December 20th. Please check the dates and mark you calendars. No classes Cup Week.
