Dear SunYogis,

Covered in this newsletter:

    • WELCOME TO ALL THE NEW SUNYOGIS
    • ON A PERSONAL NOTE…..
    • NEXT WORKSHOP –  AWAKEN & RESTORE!
    • TERM 2, 2023 DATES & FEES

Hello to all my regular yogis and a very big welcome to all the newcomers for 2023. I have really enjoyed meeting many new practitioners, keen to commit to new practices or return to a practice after a break. Many of you, sharing some deeply personal parts of your journey. How you have recovered and are still recovering from the changes in the world going on around us. Transitioning might be a better word than recovering. Change and transition are a part of life. Yoga, pranayama (breath work) and chanting help us to access our inner resilience and capacity for greatness – regardless of our circumstances. Thank-you all for sharing your process.

Personally, I have had quite a busy term 1. I’ve had travels up & back to Shepparton, country Victoria, in-between yoga classes over a 6 week block up until the 25th March for a theatre show called “It Takes Two” with the Shepparton Theatre Arts Group. I did my very first theatre show with them when I was 15, Godspell. A friend of mine who I sang with in a touring cover band at the ripe age of 17, recently created the show for singers who usually miss out on shows like this because they don’t act or dance. Being that my skill set for dancing and acting is minimal to none, I was interested. – It was also the 40 year anniversary since Godspell so I decided another reason to do it was as a celebration. And wow it has come and gone so quickly. Great to reconnect with many old friends and meet some new ones. So much fun.

Now it’s time to prep for SunYoga’s upcoming workshop on the 22nd April and term 2. I’m looking forward to some precious family time, a little decluttering, some personal practice and time for self care & rest.

Please have a very safe and happy Easter period – what ever your traditions or beliefs.

I look forward to seeing you all back on the mat in the coming weeks.

Much love,

Lisa xxx

Awaken & Restore Workshop

My next workshop – AWAKEN & RESTORE is scheduled for April 22nd.

10.30am – 1pm.

So if you have been wanting to attend for the first time or return after your last bliss out with these practices, places are limited so please book ASAP.

I had some amazing feedback from the previous workshops. Here is just a few snippets:

“Lisa’s beautiful calming voice guided us through amazing breath work, asana, mantra and meditation practices. My nervous system was so calm & I felt renewed from the inside out……”

“I was fortunate enough to attend the Breathing Space Workshop held by Lisa recently & I left the yoga space feeling uplifted, relaxed and rejuvenated. It is lovely to have the extra time to slow down and go deeper into the reasons why we practise. Lisa always chants at the end of  our weekly sessions but during this extended mini retreat we enjoyed longer melodic chants, mantra with asana & Vedic chanting. What a treat! I highly recommend the experience to those who are long time yogis or people who are first time practitioners.”

“….I had never done Yoga Nidra before and Lisa’s guided practice sent me into a state of conscious relaxation that lasted the whole day!….”

Check the Awaken & Restore Workshop page for more details and bookings.
